No. PulseWave works anonymously by default — open the app and start. You can optionally sign in with Apple or Google to sync your history and streaks across devices. Your data stays yours either way.
Yes. The core breathing library and saved sound presets work fully offline. Premium users can download content packs for full offline access to meditations and programs. Your journal and streaks are always available without a connection.
The AI coaching runs entirely on your device — your journal entries are never sent to a server. Analytics are event-level with no personal identifiers attached, and you can opt out in Settings → Privacy. Camera data for heart rate estimation is never recorded or stored. You can permanently delete your account and all data from Settings at any time.
Both. The 7-Day Foundation program is designed specifically for people starting from scratch. The library also includes Yoga Nidra, NSDR, MBCT, Loving-Kindness Complete, and a 30-day focus program — enough depth for a serious practice. You can start with a 60-second breathing reset and work up from there.
In iOS: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → PulseWave → Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date and you won't be charged for the next period. You keep Premium access until the end of the paid period. Your data is never deleted when you downgrade.
No. PulseWave is a wellness tool, not a medical device. The heart rate estimation from the camera is for general awareness — it is not a clinical measurement and should not inform medical decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional if you have health concerns.
