MNEMO / 01

Capture once. Find it later.

Mnemo keeps the words useful, the source close and the audio under your control.

Mnemo is a voice memory app for iPhone and iPad: it records conversations, transcribes them on the device, and lets you search across days and open the exact passage and audio behind every answer.

PRODUCT PROOF

Product screens

Four iPhone Simulator captures from 21 September 2026, made with a demo library. The Ask answer comes from a test fixture, not a live model, and the tab bar has changed since.

HOW IT WORKS

One memory stream, two clear postures.

01

Notebook

An optional state for the day, off by default. The text stays; its audio is deleted 24 hours after a moment ends unless you keep the moment.

02

Session

A deliberate recording with a clear beginning and end: Meeting, Interview, Quick note or Dictation. It can promote the same Notebook span instead of recording twice.

03

Ask with evidence

Search the library in plain language and open the transcript segment and retained audio behind each result. Written answers use Apple Intelligence on iOS 26 or an AI key you connect; without one, Mnemo still shows the passages.

PRIVACY BOUNDARY

Private by architecture, not by slogan.

Transcription always runs on your iPhone; recordings are never sent to a speech service. There is no Mnemo account and no analytics SDK. An AI key you connect and iCloud sync of transcripts (never audio) stay off unless you turn them on, and Privacy Mode blocks them.

FAQ

Straight answers

What is Mnemo?

Mnemo is a voice memory app for iPhone and iPad: it records conversations, transcribes them on the device, and lets you search across days and open the exact passage and audio behind every answer. It is made by HighRoad Software.

Does Mnemo need an account?

No. Recording, on-device transcription, search and exports work without a Mnemo account.

Does Mnemo send my recordings to a server?

No. Transcription always runs on your iPhone and recordings are never sent to a speech service. iCloud sync is optional, off by default and never includes audio.

Does Mnemo need an internet connection?

The transcription model runs on your iPhone and can work without a connection; Mnemo 1.0 is still in final qualification. Downloading the model needs a connection, and so do an AI key or iCloud sync if you turn them on.

What does Ask need to write an answer?

Ask always finds and shows the matching passages. A written answer uses Apple Intelligence on iOS 26 or an AI key you connect yourself; without one, you still get the sources.

What is free and what does Pro add?

The app is free: recording, the free on-device model (Whisper Small, or Whisper Base on older devices), Apple Speech, library, search, basic exports and the keyboard, with no recording quota. Pro adds Whisper Large v3 Turbo, Parakeet v3 and neural speaker separation, all on the device.

Does Mnemo join Zoom, Teams or Meet calls?

No. Mnemo records what your iPhone’s microphone hears and never joins a call. It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later.

Is Mnemo on the App Store?

Not yet. The listing and products are being prepared. Public availability follows final signed-device, purchase and distribution qualification.

The website is live now. The app will be linked here after the signed build and real StoreKit journey pass the release gates.

What does Mnemo do?

Mnemo is a voice memory app for iPhone and iPad. It records conversations, transcribes on the device and helps you find the transcript passage and retained audio behind a search result or answer.

What you start with

A conversation recorded with consent, a deliberate Session or an optional Notebook span, followed by a search question.

What you get

A searchable transcript, source-linked passages and retained audio when available. Written Ask answers require supported Apple Intelligence or a provider key you choose to connect; source search remains available without that answer service.

How to use Mnemo

  1. Get the participants' consent, choose a deliberate Session or enable Notebook, and check the visible recording state.
  2. Let transcription run on the device with Apple Speech or an installed supported model; review important names and passages.
  3. Search for the decision or phrase, open its transcript segment and play retained audio to check the source. Keep a Notebook moment if you need its audio beyond the default retention period.

Requirements and useful limits

Notebook audio is deleted 24 hours after a moment ends unless kept. Transcripts can be corrected, and generated answers can be wrong. Optional transcript-only iCloud sync and a connected AI provider remain separate choices; Privacy Mode blocks those routes.

Availability: In preparation for iPhone and iPad. A public App Store download and Pro purchase links will be provided after release.

Practical questions about Mnemo

Why can a passage exist without playable audio?

Notebook keeps text while unkept audio is deleted after its retention period. A retained transcript is not proof that the original audio is still available.

Can I search without a generated Ask answer?

Yes. Ask can find and show matching passages without a written answer. Written answers require supported Apple Intelligence or an AI provider key you choose to connect.
