Microphone permission
If iOS denies microphone access, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and enable Mnemo. Until the audio session is actually active, the app should say that it is not listening.
Support / the useful version
Mnemo should tell you what happened, what is safe, and what you can do next. These are the practical paths.
The short answer
A processing problem should not invalidate audio that was already captured.
If iOS denies microphone access, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and enable Mnemo. Until the audio session is actually active, the app should say that it is not listening.
On-device speech processing uses the engines available for your device and language. Downloaded models are integrity-checked before installation. If a model is unavailable, Mnemo exposes that state instead of fabricating progress.
Audio is written in durable chunks. If an interruption happens, relaunch Mnemo and let recovery finish before deleting anything. Recovered audio remains on the iPhone even if a later library step failed.
iCloud sync is optional and is intended for transcripts and metadata, not audio. If sync is off, the local library remains the working source of truth.
Mnemo Pro is configured as a monthly or annual subscription and as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Restore purchases from the Pro screen using the same Apple Account. The offers become available only with the public App Store release.
A useful report
When asking for support, include the visible state, iOS version, whether the audio still plays, and whether Privacy Mode is on. Do not send recordings or provider keys unless you have explicitly chosen to share them.
What is safe? A failed inference stage should leave the original audio intact. If that is not what you observe, stop deleting data and record the visible error before contacting support.
