Open your own M3U playlist on iPhone

CarScreen opens M3U and M3U8 playlists and HTTPS HLS streams that you supply. It provides no channels. A playlist stored on the phone can still point to media that needs an internet connection.

Use the actual playlist address

In Add, paste the HTTPS playlist address from your authorized provider, or open your local M3U file from Files. A webpage around a playlist is not the playlist. CarScreen rejects addresses containing embedded usernames or passwords; never share signed links in support messages.

Distinguish a list from a stream

An M3U8 address can describe an HLS stream rather than a lineup of channels. Try one media item on the iPhone first, then test the external screen separately.

If an entry does not play

A successful import does not establish that every entry is available. Check whether the source expired or changed, refresh it in Settings and retry. Duplicate and non-HTTPS entries are skipped and counted. Provider rights and availability still apply.

Know the free limit

The free edition supports one playlist and 15 minutes per day on a big screen. Pro removes these two limits. Do not buy a content subscription expecting it to be included in CarScreen.
