Who publishes CarScreen
CarScreen is published by COBI Management SRL (HighRoad Software), BE 0676.613.701, Rue Haut Chemin 8, 1370 Jodoigne, Belgium.
What stays on your device
Your library (titles, links, playlist addresses, favorites, history and resume points) is stored in a file encrypted with AES-GCM; its key is kept in the device Keychain and never leaves the device. Videos and photos you import are copied into the app container and excluded from iCloud backup. Thumbnails are generated locally.
What we do not collect
CarScreen has no account, advertising, analytics or tracking SDK. It sends nothing about you or your library to HighRoad Software. Diagnostic reports are created only when you choose to share one, and contain no title, link, receiver name, login or device identifier.
Network requests you start
When you add, refresh or play a link or playlist, your device contacts that server directly, including when requesting thumbnails; that provider’s policy applies. Websites you open in CarScreen’s browser can store their own cookies. AirPlay receivers and car displays receive the media you send to them.
Camera and Photos
The camera is used only while you scan a QR code; no image is recorded or sent. The Photos picker gives CarScreen only the items you select. Apple may download iCloud originals under its own policy.
Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple. CarScreen receives only the signed entitlement needed to unlock Pro.
Deleting your data
Delete an item or a source in CarScreen to remove it and its imported file. Clear history in Settings. Deleting the app removes the library and imported files from the device.
