Roundtable AI / Legal

Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 9, 2026 · Last updated: April 21, 2026

In short: Your conversations, settings, and API keys stay on your Mac. We do not operate servers and we collect zero data from you.

1. Overview

Roundtable AI is a macOS desktop application developed by High Road Software (operated by COBI Management SRL, BE 0676.613.701) that enables multi-AI discussions. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, where it goes, and what we do—and do not—collect.

2. Data That Stays on Your Device

All of the following data is created and stored locally on your Mac. It is never transmitted to High Road Software:

  • Conversation history, discussion content, and session metadata
  • Custom AI presets you create or modify
  • Application preferences and settings
  • Local AI model files (GGUF format) you choose to use
  • License keys (stored encrypted via macOS system encryption)

3. Data Sent to Third-Party AI Providers

When you use cloud-based AI models (for example via OpenRouter), the text of your discussion prompts and the AI responses are transmitted directly from your Mac to the AI provider you selected. This communication is necessary for the App to function with cloud models.

Your API keys are stored locally on your device using macOS system encryption (safeStorage). They are sent only to the AI provider during API requests and are never transmitted to High Road Software.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the providers you use:

4. Data Sent to Paddle (License Purchases)

If you purchase a license key through our website, the transaction is processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects payment information (name, email, billing address, payment method) to complete the purchase and comply with tax regulations. High Road Software does not receive or store your payment details.

See the Paddle Privacy Policy for full details.

5. Mac App Store & Apple

If you downloaded the App from the Mac App Store, Apple may collect usage and diagnostic data as described in the Apple Privacy Policy. High Road Software does not have access to this data.

6. Data We Collect

None. High Road Software does not operate servers that receive data from the App. We do not collect analytics, telemetry, crash reports, usage statistics, device identifiers, or any personal information.

7. No Tracking

The App does not include any advertising SDKs, analytics frameworks, or cross-app tracking technologies. We do not track you across apps or websites. The App does not use cookies.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Data Retention

Since all App data resides on your device, you control its retention. Deleting the App or its data folder removes all locally stored information. High Road Software retains no data to delete on our end.

10. Your Rights Under GDPR

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete. If you reside in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, your rights under those laws are respected by design: we simply do not have your data.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

11. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be communicated through a notice within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
