Choose Duel for a direct rematch
Duel is the simplest format for two people. Both players tackle the same puzzle, so the result reflects performance on an identical grid rather than two unrelated boards. Rematches make it easy to switch difficulty or pace and go again.
Choose Group for three to eight players
Group mode fits a family, a few colleagues or a puzzle club gathered in one place. Up to eight compatible devices can join. Keep the round understandable by agreeing on 6×6 or 9×9, one of three difficulty levels, and Classic or Blitz before starting.
Make the game accessible to the group
Sudoku Arena can display digits, colours or shapes. Players can also use notes, hints, undo and pause. Agree on which optional tools and variants are allowed before a competitive round so everyone follows the same rules.
The friends must remain nearby, and Bluetooth or Wi-Fi must remain enabled. The match needs no mobile data or internet access, but compatible devices and working local radios are still required.
A simple hosting checklist
- Ask everyone to open Sudoku Arena and enable Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
- Create the room and let players scan the QR code or enter the room code.
- Confirm the player list before starting.
- State the grid size, difficulty, pace and allowed assistance.
- Use rematch for another round or change settings between rounds.
