RainDesk · Support
Start with the menu bar.
RainDesk is designed to stay out of the way. Its menu bar icon opens the scene, intensity, opacity, volume and session controls. Settings contains the deeper visual, sound, display and privacy options.

The menu bar icon is missing
Open RainDesk from Applications or Spotlight. On crowded menu bars, macOS may hide items behind the camera housing or Control Center area. Close another menu bar item temporarily, then relaunch RainDesk. RainDesk remains a menu bar app and does not need a permanent Dock window.
The atmosphere is not visible
Open the RainDesk menu, select a scene, choose Start if the scene is stopped, and raise opacity and intensity. In Settings, confirm the intended display and layer position. By default, RainDesk sits behind ordinary windows, so reveal some desktop to confirm it is active.
RainDesk blocks clicks
The weather overlay should pass clicks through. Open Settings and confirm click-through behaviour is enabled. If an above-window mode is active, return to the default behind-windows placement and relaunch the app. Report the selected scene and display arrangement if the issue repeats.
There is no sound
Raise RainDesk volume in the menu panel, verify the current scene includes audio, and check macOS output volume and the selected output device. RainDesk mixes bundled sound layers locally and does not stream audio.
A focus session did not clear
Open the menu bar panel and stop the current session or choose No time limit. If the timer appears stuck, quit and reopen RainDesk, then include the displayed remaining time in your report. RainDesk restores active session state locally after a relaunch.
Multiple displays
Open Settings and review the display target after connecting, disconnecting or rearranging a monitor. macOS can assign new display identifiers after hardware changes. Confirm each intended display individually before using an above-window presentation mode.
Reset or remove local data
Use the reset control in RainDesk Settings where available. Removing RainDesk and its app container clears its local preferences and session state, subject to your own Mac backups. RainDesk has no account or cloud copy. See the RainDesk Privacy Policy.
Purchase and refunds
RainDesk is planned as a one-time Mac App Store purchase with no subscription. Apple displays the final regional price and processes the transaction. For App Store refund requests, use Apple's Report a Problem service.
