Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: 31 August 2026. This product policy describes RainDesk version 1.0 for macOS and takes priority over the portfolio policy for RainDesk.

The short version: RainDesk does not collect or transmit personal data. It has no account, analytics, telemetry, advertising, tracking, cloud processing or third-party SDK.

1. Controller and contact

RainDesk is developed by HighRoad Software, a trading name of COBI Management SRL (enterprise number BE 0676.613.701), Rue Haut Chemin 8, 1370 Jodoigne, Belgium. Contact privacy@highroadsoftware.com for privacy questions.

2. Data collection and transmission

RainDesk does not send personal data, device identifiers, usage events, crash reports, focus intentions, settings or audio activity to HighRoad Software or an analytics provider. The app does not include advertising, cross-app tracking or a cloud service.

3. Data stored locally

RainDesk stores preferences needed to restore the app, such as the selected scene, intensity, opacity, volume, visual and sound controls, display choice, onboarding state, and current focus-session state or intention. This information is stored in the macOS app container with Apple system storage and is not transmitted by RainDesk.

4. Visuals, audio and permissions

Visual effects are generated locally with Metal. Ambient audio files ship inside the app and are mixed locally. RainDesk does not request camera, microphone, location, Contacts, Photos, Health, Accessibility or Screen Recording access. The optional above-window presentation mode changes the overlay window level; it does not capture the screen.

5. Purchases

Apple processes Mac App Store purchases under Apple's Privacy Policy. HighRoad Software does not receive payment-card details. RainDesk version 1.0 has no in-app purchase, subscription, external checkout or account entitlement system.

6. Deletion

Use RainDesk Settings to reset local preferences where offered. Removing RainDesk and its app container removes RainDesk's local settings and session state, subject to copies retained in your own Mac backups. Because HighRoad Software receives no RainDesk app data, there is no RainDesk server account to delete.

7. Website and support

The product website does not use advertising or behavioural analytics. Website hosting may create short-lived security and delivery logs as described in the HighRoad Software portfolio policy. If you email support, we process the message and reply details to answer your request.

8. Changes

If a future RainDesk release introduces a material data flow, this policy and the Mac App Store privacy answers will be updated before that release. The date above identifies the current policy.
