What Flightloom adds
Flightloom combines a bundled world map, country information, available iPhone readings and a route log in one passenger interface. There is no account, ad network or developer-operated route server in version 1.0.
The cabin reception boundary
An offline map does not create a live position. The iPhone still needs usable satellite reception, which can be reduced or blocked by the aircraft. Flightloom keeps this limitation visible because a missing fix is a physical constraint, not a promise software can remove.
Sources and method
Flightloom facts come from the version 1.0.0 release materials. Apple documents that Core Location uses available hardware including GPS, Wi-Fi, cellular, Bluetooth, the magnetometer and barometer; its location objects include accuracy estimates.
