The short version: VoxForge processes speech locally and keeps projects in the app's local storage. It has no account, advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK. Network access is used for model downloads, purchase or licence validation where applicable, and direct media fetching only when you provide a URL.

1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for VoxForge is:

COBI Management SRL (trading as HighRoad Software)
Rue Haut Chemin 8
1370 Jodoigne, Belgium
Email: privacy@highroadsoftware.com

HighRoad is the controller for support and direct-sale fulfilment data it receives. Apple or a named direct merchant separately controls checkout information. HighRoad does not receive your locally processed audio, transcripts, or voice profiles.

2. What the App Does Not Upload

During local speech processing, VoxForge does not send your creative or source content to HighRoad:

3. On-Device Processing

All artificial-intelligence processing in VoxForge runs locally on your Mac:

4. Local Storage

All data generated by your use of VoxForge is stored exclusively on your device, in the app's sandboxed container:

None of this data is backed up to any HighRoad Software server. iCloud backup is controlled by your own macOS settings — HighRoad Software has no access to any iCloud data.

5. Model Downloads

On first use of a model, VoxForge may download it from a public repository such as the Hugging Face Hub. The host receives information inherent in an internet request, including your IP address and standard headers, under its own privacy policy. HighRoad does not receive your audio or transcript from this request. Downloaded models are cached locally.

6. Network Usage

VoxForge uses the network only for narrowly defined purposes:

No user data, audio, transcriptions, or voice profiles are ever transmitted over the network during normal operation.

7. macOS Permissions

VoxForge requests only the permissions it needs:

VoxForge does not request access to your camera, contacts, calendar, location, or any other sensitive macOS permission category.

8. Voice Cloning & Consent

VoxForge's Voice Lab includes a mandatory consent gate before any voice-profile operation: you must confirm you own the voice or have the voice owner's permission. Consent records are stored locally alongside the voice profile, and you can permanently delete a profile — together with its reference audio and consent record — at any time. No voice data is ever transmitted.

9. GDPR

For support and fulfilment data, HighRoad relies on contract performance, legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection at privacy@highroadsoftware.com. You may also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority or your local authority.

10. Children's Privacy

VoxForge is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). Because we collect no personal data from any user, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Data Security

Local project security depends on your macOS account, device access controls, and FileVault settings. The release build uses macOS sandboxing and a hardened runtime. HighRoad applies access controls to support and fulfilment records, but no storage or transmission method is risk-free.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy materially, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will never introduce data collection without making it clearly visible in the app and in the App Store description.
