Pairing two nearby iPhones
Open TELL on both iPhones, keep Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi enabled, and follow the on-screen connection steps. The phones must be close enough for a local connection. Internet access is not required. If pairing fails, bring the phones closer, make sure both use iOS 17 or later, close TELL on both devices, reopen it, then try again.
Camera or microphone access
TELL requests camera and microphone permission only when someone chooses to record. In iPhone Settings, open TELL and allow Camera and Microphone if you want the optional recording feature. The question flow can continue without recording.
Recording consent and local videos
Recording begins only after explicit consent in the session. A recording stays locally on the iPhone that made it; TELL does not upload it to a cloud service. Delete a recording from TELL’s library when you no longer want it on that iPhone. See the TELL Privacy Policy for the local-storage boundary.
I cannot find an earlier recording
Check the local TELL library on the iPhone that recorded the answer. A paired phone does not automatically receive a copy. If the recording was deleted, removed with the app, or omitted from a device backup, HighRoad Software cannot restore it because TELL does not keep a server copy.
TELL+ purchase, restore or cancellation
TELL includes 50 free prompts. TELL+ unlocks 30 additional prompts at USD 4.99 monthly or USD 34.99 annually, with Apple showing the local price before purchase. To restore an eligible purchase, use TELL’s Restore Purchases control while signed into the same Apple Account used to subscribe. Manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Apple handles billing and refund requests through Report a Problem.
Availability
TELL was submitted to App Review on 5 September 2026. Its App Store record exists, but the public listing is not live. This support page does not provide a download link until Apple makes the listing public.
